For all you guys that have small single action pocket pistols, what state do you carry it in when not in a holster or in a pocket holster?

Can the small SA only pocket guns be carried cocked and locked in the pocket? It doesn't seem safe. What about the Beretta 950 Jetfire, AMT .380, Colt .380, etc? How do you carry when not in a holster?

I carry the Beretta 950 hammer down over a chambered round. I don't think I would choose to carry any of this class of pistols in the cocked-and-locked mode. The striker fired & concealed hammer pocket pistols are only to be carried with an empty chamber, in my opinion.

Ive heard alot of theorizing about this. Some say carry Cond 1 with a good holster...some say you can cock it on way out of your pocket.

I say if your holster protects the safety from being swept off and the trigger is enclosed......carry any way you want.

But carry with a pocket holster...........Shoot well

In a proper holster, cocked and locked would be fine.
No holster -- hammer lowered on chambered round.

The best thing (among many) about the 950 is the ability to load a round with the hammer down (tilt barrel). If I carry my 950, it's hammer down, round chambered.
