Hey guys and girls

I'm looking for a Single action only semi auto pistol that is not a 1911 style or striker fired. Is there such a critter out there that can be had for a reasonable price. I'm preferring this to be of 9mm or larger caliber but, no more than .45, including .38 super and special. Any ideas?

+1 for the high power. But might be out of your price range. Give the feg 9hp. Its a clone. I shot it next to the high power and couldnt tell the differnce. You can get one for about 3-4.

Since we are going to pictures...

Exactly right 2wheels. NON striker fired and NON 1911-1911 clone.

That CZ looks pretty good, as does the EAA and they are both in the reasonable price range as well. Didn't see any today at the gunshow, maybe they'll have a few in March.

Hi-Power for 9mm. SAOP220 for a .45. I've got one of each and they are as good as everyone says.

Good ones above, I'm throwing in the Bersa Thunder. It's hammer operated with a decocker/block safety, DA/SA pull. many calibers available from the mid-200's to $400.

The .380 is the majority of my experience, but they do make larger 9mm and .40's, and the compact .45 ACP has had my eye recently.

My old man shoots the hell out of his .380 one, and it's his usual EDC when not carrying a CZ-82 (also a very good gun!)

They don't advertise much, they're Argentine made, but while they're not as finely polished, they tend to function really well. They do appear to have a lifetime original purchaser warranty

In fact I was so impressed by my Old man's .380, just this afternoon I placed an order for the .22 Thunder at my LGS as a surprise for my Eldest's 10th in March. They appear to be identical in construction save for the caliber.

Don't worry, any nannys reading this, she doesn't get it on her own until she hands me her CHL as an adult. I'm a mean Dad.

I'll try to remember to write up a first 1000 round report on it when we get it to the range. May torture-test it on day one just to be evil.

I already own a Bersa Thunder 9 UC Pro. And yes, they are great for the cost.

Let me re-post this as I think some folks may not have read it.

If you go the CZ route, I'd highly recommend the adjustable SAO trigger that CZ Custom sells. Easily one of my favorite triggers for a CZ.

Yes. The Witness Elite Match I pictured above and the CZ 75B SA both meet those specs. There are probably others also.
