Bump-fire stocks have become an issue at the gun club where I'm president. There are strong opinions, both pro and con for allowing them on our ranges.

I had no experience with bump-fire stocks, and I thought I should get so, before I voice an opinion. So I fitted a Slide Fire SSAR-15 bump-fire stock to my AR-15 and headed out to my private range at Duelist's Den to put it through its paces.

Now, I can weigh in on the issue.

Love my Bump-Fire stock! Don't use it alot but when I do it is alot of fun! I can't wait to get one for a AK. These are a blast to use & you can keep it on the single shot mode & still save money! Once I got the hang of it, it worked well for me.

Uhh, doesn't a FA SMG put a far greater dent int he wallet than a bump fire stock?
I would think so. I'd have to shoot a lot of 5.56 to equal the cost of AR, slide stock, and ammo to even come close to the even the cheapest of FA SMGs. What's the cheapest these days, a MAC-10 or something for around $5000?
