My friend recently put together an 11.5 ar pistol with a sig arm brace, we put it beside my slr107cr and it is about 1.5 to 2" longer than the folded ak, its lighter, and has a longer sight radius. the ar pistol could also be broken down and stored in a pretty small space. along with the fact that it will share parts and mags and ammo with my 16" bcm, it has me thinking about selling the arsenal and building myself an 11.5 ar.

i feel that the sights, trigger and safety/ergos of the ar pistol would be superior. as a close range beat around/ truck gun I cant decide which i'd rather have. I love love love my 16" bcm and it is very reliable but is it ak reliable?

thoughts and discussion?

I can't help you, but I'm planning to wrap up a build of an 10.5" Sig brace-equipped AR pistol this afternoon.

With a KAK Super Sig Buffer tube (or sim.) the Sig brace is every bit as effective as a traditional carbine stock (though obviously lacks easy adjustment).
