Like the poster, I also have a Sig P239 in 9mm, and my small .45 is a Colt Defender. I can recommend the Defender as an excellent gun, and it is about the same size as the P239, or even slightly thinner and lighter weight.
I carry a Kahr PM45 off duty and as a back up weapon. I believe the Kahr PM45 is the smallest .45 cal. pistol in production. I carry it OWB and Pocket.
The Para LDA is a solution looking for a problem. (IMO, of course. Plenty of loyal LDA followers out there, I'm sure.)
My wife is very happy with her Colt Officer's Model. I'd carry it, but I can't get it away from her, so I carry my Commander.
I haven't been following Colt's latest offerings (Defender?), but it looks like an Officer's Model with an alloy frame. There might be other differences, but a quick glance says it's pretty similar to an OM.
