I sometimes use a ThunderWear holster with my Millennium Pro PT745 and I always have the manual safety on when the gun is hostered or stored. I only disengage the manual safety when the gun is in my hand. But an important consideration about this kind of crotch holster is this: when I'm in a vehicle, I naturally wear a seat belt and the lap belt is right across the grip of my gun. If I got into an accident, the gun wouldn't go off or anything like that, but would I experience an injury as a consequence of the gun being driven into my abdomen by the lap belt? Gun fights are rare; car accidents are common. I only use the ThunderWear holster occasionally when I need deep cover, but mightn't it be wiser to step down to my Kel-Tec P-32 when I need deep cover and to stop using the ThunderWear?
