Smith & Wesson M&P15 MOE Carbine VS All Others

Looking for some feedback on the Smith & Wesson M&P15 MOE Carbine. I really like the looks and how it feels compared to some of the other ARs I've tried. My only other 5.56 riffle is a newer Mini-14 (NRA Edition). It's a fun gun to shoot, but I have the AR bug in me now. This will initially be just a fun gun, but might get a 20" upper for 200 yrd / 300 yrd matches, down the road. Looking at Rock Rivers as well. Armalites are a little too rich for me. Again, this would be my first AR, so I'm not sure if I should go big, or just upgrade when I'm ready. Also, like the Winham Weaponry's, but I'm a little gun shy since it's their initial run. Any thoughts?

(Also, no plans to add all kinds of gadgets on it...just some sort of sight on the top. I like the idea of the folding back up sights too.)

The S&W would be better than the RRA, WW, or Armalite you mentioned. However I suggest looking at something a bit better in general.

Here is a Colt 6920 MOE for the same price I generally see the M&P go for.

Also the 16 inch gun will be just fine for 300 yard shots.
