I love it. Very well organized Ron. And lots of great ideas that you carried out.

You sure did learn a lot during your trials. I love the bolt handle the best and may give that a try.

Sometimes it's just fun to experiment. I'll bet that thing shoots real well with the right ammo and you will turn a lot of heads at the range.

Keep it up and keep us posted. I WANT ONE>:neener:

Sigh - too bad it's got some whoofed grammar... Campers, when you work to put together something trewly kewl, proofread! Then people like will print it for their Bunker Walls, instead of sighing inwardly, and wandering on...

Doc, For some reason I cannot open pdf on my computer, something to do with "flash" that is beyond me. Can you post it as a graphic? Thanks!

Great stuff.
A recommended improvement:

Straight stocks make it difficult to get a nice consistant trigger pull. The rifle needs a pistol grip. The Swedes bolted triangular shaped pieces of wood behind the triggers of their M96 rifles for target shooting.

Home made level and mount with #3 yellow bubble fluid ...

I'd go with #2 yellow bubble fluid here, but to each his own.

... mount with one or two 1/4" 20 bolts (do you think mixing Russian metric with America SAE will be OK? The zombies won't know)

Sounds like unnecessary risk to me. I'd go to your local Chinese hardware store (ie. Harbor Freight) and lay out the $4.99 on a metric tap set. Will be money well spent.

I got it to the point where I could shoot it and haven't added the level, the gimbled drink holder or the wind vane.....It shoots ok so now it is gathering dust and waiting for the Zombies to arive. I am glad that I live in a low Zombie threat area.
