So has the election compelled you to buy anything?

Whether or not another AWB presents itself (and I'm not willing to risk inaction on the assumption that it won't), prices are going to shoot up across the board after the election. So, it only makes sense to buy now and avoid the ridiculous price increases.

I took the opportunity to buy what I wanted anyway, a Yugo underfolder AK, a Saiga and conversion parts (will be working on that as soon as said parts arrive in the next few weeks) and a dozen Hungarian mags from AIM.

I'm waiting for the shop to get more stripped AR lowers in, and when they do I'll mate one with a Del-Ton midlength kit and buy a dozen AR mags from 44mag, too.

Anyone have a source on cheap CZ-75B mags?

Yep, bought a M119mm and 2 cans. Currently stocking up on ammo and planing to buy the new 9mm XDM and a couple of spare mags for it if I can manage to sell my old parachute container and reserve canopy.

I just went insane with rest of the world. So I bought a Cooper Western Classic and a Leica rangefinder. Life is good. For now.

These days Leica rangefinders are cheaper than dirt, friend. Used to be holy grail. too funny. Thanks for the memory.

I think I'm going to hurry up and pay what I owe on my old model vaquero I have in layaway, so I can put a base model Olympic AR on layaway. I have been wanting an AR for sometime now, I believe this is the time to get one. I'm sure if he wins guns stores around the nation will be very busy on Nov 5th.

The election is one factor among many that have influenced me to stock up on a number of things, including ammo and reloading supplies.

no, it hasn't. #1, IF obama gets elected, you will have several months before he takes office. so that is kind of like your 2 minute wanring in foot ball. second, right now, money is so stinking tight, i just can not afford my little black gun. but, i probably should get a couple of extra hi capacity magazines for the wife's and my pistols soon.

Never wanted one, hope will never neeeeeeeed one, didn't like them, thought they were impractical.

But refused to be left behind because of stupid soccer mom legislation.

Started liking them cause they are butt ugly (like me).

Ordered a Rock River Tactical.

Now for the wait.

They get more beautiful every day.
Unlike me.

I never liked em either till I broke down and bought one. My first was a conventional A3 with a 20" heavy barrel. No collapsible stock or other tactical doo-dads. I wanted as close to a conventional rifle as I could get with that first AR and then I really fell in love with it. :)

Now I have a couple other M4's and a 9mm with the goodies on them.

They say those EBR's tend to multiply...

I do have to say that Obama in the White House and Nancy Pelosi/Harry Reid with super-majorities in the House/Senate scares the crap out of me. Obama will just rubber stamp all the garbage legislation they push through. What's this trio going to do with our Second Ammendment rights?:uhoh::eek: I'm not trying to start anything political here, I'm just sayin', this scares the crap out of me.

Got my Springfield XD45 Tactical today. I've reconsidered my rifle purchase and am now going to buy an AK47 and an AR15. Felt no urge at all to own either rifle before this presidential election turned sour.

It's not connected to the election, but the current state of the economy.

I've been putting money into the stock market. Following the lead of Warren Buffet's style of investing, I recognize that many things are on sale right now.

The first step of "buy low and sell high" is to buy low. This is a rare opportunity.

A Ron Paul T-shirt.

A guy can dream, can't he?

+1 on that.

I just ordered three AK 20 rounders and 5 AR 20 rounders for range duty.

I put a stripped DPMS lower on lay-a-way. Probably get another one as well.

Got some Polish 7.62 x 54R from AIM. That isn't an "election buy" but you never know and I do need some good lite ball for that PSL.

The only thing I think I need now is a couple 20 round Sten mags for the range, a few more pistol and 10-22 mags and I'll sit tight and hope for a lot of overtime the rest of the year to pay for this stuff. My credit card has waved the white flag. :scrutiny:

All I will say is my wife is worried about all the weight from stacked ammo cases in the storage room upstairs. She worries if the floor collapses she may be killed because she spends most of her time in the kitchen which is right underneath. :uhoh:

Hehehehe, I'm pretty much sitting under my gun safe right now... :uhoh:
