So what caliber do you like to shoot the most?

I'm with you CCW007, as my primary shoot'em up caliber is .45 ACP
on account of the nice big round holes; that saves a lot of wear and
tear to my feet! :uhoh:

My next favorite caliber is the .38 Special. I usually load up some mid
range LSWC's, and shoot 'til my ammo runs dry. :D

22 for me. 10 bucks and i can shoot for hours.

223 in my encore is next
9mm
38sp
45acp

hopefully once i start reloading i'd really like to shoot more 38's and 9's. i wanna get a taurus 905 and a gp100 and i'd like to put a 100 of each down range a week. but thats in a perfect world

until we get a full size 45, its just not as high on my list as it is for others

50 Action Express

Out of the Desert Eagle 6" barrel the huge fireball, concussion, and long (relatively) gentle recoil make it just plain FUN to shoot.

Expensive though. Even with reloading rounds aren't exactly cheap. With the 500 S&W and 50 Beowulf more choices are now available and are there are a few more reasonably priced options like Speers new 300 gr TMJ.

Platform still has a lot to do with it. I like 10mm for something boomy but still managble. I shoot my CZs extremely well with the 45 ACP 97B topping the list. It's one of my favorites to shoot. Extremely accurate, good ergos, smooth recoil, stable platform. 10 big holes on tap. :)

My CZ 85 Compact, RAMI, Glock 24P and S&W 646 are all in .40 S&W and I enjoy shooting them all.

I also have a Ruger Super Rehawk in 454 Casull and a Taurus 455 Total Titainum in .45 ACP. Both are fun to shoot but the Casull is more punishing to the hand than the 50 AE and the Taurus is so light that it's a real challenge to shoot well.

So, I'd have to say it's more platform and mood than caliber :)

Guess I'm weird too, as I shoot up more .22 LR in the course of a year than everything else combined. Being a Certifiable .22 Junky probably has a lot to do with it, as I have a combined total of 23 different pieces so chambered.

Centerfire rifle goes 7.62x39, 7.62x51, .45-70, and 7.5x55, in that order.

Handgun would be 9x19, .45 ACP, .357, 9x18, and .40 S&W. Nine mm leads mostly because ammo is so cheap, and reloading time has been severely curtailed by overtime work of late.

Probably 45 LC. Mid-range (Ruger) are real easy to shoot and still have plenty of whack for deer. I consider myself only moderately decent with a pistol, but last week-end I was hitting soccer ball sized dirt clumps at 50-80 yards on a regular basis.

The Delta Elite and 45 acp would also be great, but I spend 5 minutes shooting and 10 minutes scrounging for the brass

9mm and .22LR.

All I have is a 9mm, .22 magnum, and a .22LR, but I dont shoot a lot of .22WMR.

i find it hard to believe no one mentioned my favorite, the .41 mag. i never go to the range without taking some, and a bunch of ammo for each.

I love shooting the 9x18 Mak, but that has more to do with the gun than it does the round. When I get the fever for some recoil, I borrow dad's S&W 686 and blast through some .357s. The noise + the recoil always put a smile on my face. Also, letting a newbie try the 357 and seeing the smile on THEIR face makes my day.

.22 lr out of a MKII Target and 10/22, and 9mm out of a BHP and CZ75B, because it's cheap. Would like to shoot more 30-30 and .308, so I guess it's back to reloading if/when I get the time.

.45
9mm
.22lr
.223
.308
.30-06
12 gauge
.357

.45 first, the rest in no particular order. Obviously I am not very good at deciding on just one. Oh well....I don't have to. :p

1) .45 ACP. Fat holes, easy recoil, just plain fun to shoot
2) distant 2nd is 9mm. Easy recoil, quick follow up shots, and relatively cheap to shoot
3) .40 S&W was VERY fun to shoot out of a custom STI. Whoa.... :D

38/357 magnum (tied)
45 acp
22 LR
9mm

I like the 38/357 combo so much (seven of my guns are in .357 magnum and two are .38's) that I've finally gotten into reloading. I was started on that caliber by my dad twenty-five years ago and I guess I never lost my fondess for it. Ironic when you consider that my dad is a 45 nut.

What I shoot the most is...

the .41Magnum. Next would be the .45ACP. After that, the .22LR, .38Spcl, .280Remington, and .338Winchester.
