Some range time with my GF

Well I went to the range today cuz my GF wanted to learn to shoot my p229---I don't have any of her targets posted but she did really well and even got in a few bullseyes. Plus she looked hot as hell doing it ---though she had trouble racking the slide into battery

this one's mine, I don't care what anyone else says, I'm damn proud of it

2 mags (24 rounds total) with my p229 at a little more than 15 yards.

Good for you and her. I serve active duty and I often help out the women who qualify with the M9. Rather than pulling the slide back, try having your girlfriend hold the slide with her weak hand and push the frame forward with her strong hand. It's an odd way of racking a slide, but with practice, she should be able to do it with ease.

Not weird at all Ragsdale45. IMO that is the proper way to release the slide from its locked position. In addition to being easier, it immediately starts moving the gun forward into a firing position.
