I would get a S&W Shield. you can get a m1.0 for $300 or a m2.0 for $360 on gunbroker.

EDIT: My bad, I didnt read all the comments before commenting, just seen you already got your gun! congrats!

my first handgun was a sd40ve, I wish I would have kept it and put an apex trigger on it, that was my biggest complaint, but that was before I knew anything about upgrading guns. I ended up trading it in on a Beretta 96.
 
Wow, thanks! I've not seen the G3C for this cheap before! LGS wanted $300 for their G2C as a Black Friday special a while back!
