I've read a little about the Spiller & Burr and it seems like the ideal cap n ball .36 revolver!
Looking I see Pietta makes a stainless model yet I can't seem to find one for sell. They are all brass framed.
I kinda like the looks of the brass frame and have no intentions of pushing the loads hot as it would mostly just be a small game and plinking gun, but I just don't like the idea of a weak frame.
What is the max load and typical accurate load for these repros?
I keep looking at the .36 cal 1858, as well as the 1851 Navy and 1862 Pocket Navy as a small game pistol too...
