I just got my 640 rd can of wolf 7.62 HP from Ammoman.com today. I got my Sportsman guide catalog yesterday and it had Wolf 7.62 in cans, HP and FMJ listed.

I placed an order for a can of FMJ, which is back orded till march. However today the FMJ says they are sold out.

The 640 can of HP is still listed, backorded of course, but still able to place an order.

Not sure how long before they are sold out and will not take any orders. But i thought the price was good

Pretty good company. I ordered 5K rds of 7.62X39 at the price 98 bucks per M. Went on back order. By the time the order was shipped (maybe 8 mos) the price had doubled but they honored the original price. They would also contact me at intervals relative to the order. Pretty much a A+ organization.

all but the 7.62x39 FMJ in a 640 rd spam can which is sold out. But i see the 500 and 1000 round FMJ can be ordered.

i was snagging these cans for $65 a pop and managed to gather up around 8k rounds before we stepped foot in iraq.

I have always loved the SG as a company but recently we have addressed the issue of them posting publicly your personal info (with a name and zip code ANYONE can see your order and your complete name and address) the SG has refused to recognize or fix this problem through several letters and emails with them from me and others. I wont' so business with them PERIOD. If you order ammo from them, anyone can see your order and your address online and they will know that you have ammo, guns, and where you live. Thats not cool to me.


If you MUST deal with them I suggest you sign up for the buyers club and order ammo. They will pay the shipping on that first order and you can get a pretty good deal.

I use the catalogs to see the products and if I find something I like I find someone else to order from who will protect my personal information.

another glich i recocgnized when i was buying up those cans are that if you have an older catalog with a lower price than the link on the site you can punch in that catalogs part number and it will bring up the sam item with the lower price. thats how a kept ordering the cans at $65 even though the price was rising through the website link.

I occasionally buy military surplus stuff from them - sometimes they get some cool stuff (mainly jackets and shirts) I haven't seen anywhere else, and the privacy issue is not a problem with that. I also have a different billing address and ZIP than the place I actually live (and the two are 450 miles apart), so somebody who knows me locally would still have no idea how to find my orders.

I've never bought ammo or shooting supplies there, though.

I think they post your SHIPPING address, not your billing address. Sometimes the two are different. They shouldn't post either.
