The XD's are fine handguns.

I own several, in 9mm, including an XDm.

There was a post above regarding the accuracy. Well, I'll say this, I can blow the center out of a 1 inch target at 25 yards consistently with any XD handgun, subcompact, service size or the XDm. I've done it in both 9mm and .40 S&W. So the accuracy is above normal for a "combat handgun". I'll take an XD anyday....

I have an XD and all I can say is.....I love it! I've got close to 4000 rounds out of it, no problems at all, sweet shooting gun.

i was able to shoot a Rob Leatham XD awhile back...5" Tactical model...and it had a beautiful trigger.

i'm torn between what to buy next a Springfield XD or a Dan Wesson CBOB

All I know is there are a lot more people who like there XD's than do not. Just read this thread and that will tell you something. The XD 45C was my first auto pistol and I love the heck out of it. It shoots straight and it shoots everything you feed it. How can that be so bad. I will second there customer service. It is as good as it gets "period". You call them with a problem and it is taking care of free of charge. I was thinking about getting a Glock just to have something different but after reading this thread and hearing all the positive reports I think I will buy me a XD 9mm SC Monday morning. I have 3 Springfield Armory .45 cal. 1911 A-1 pistals, a stainless Trophy Match, verry early mill spec. before the G.I. and a verry early mill spec. Micro Compact and I LUV them all, but in the roll mark with the 2 crossed cannon it clearly says "Springfield Armory 1974". on all 3 guns. I never was much good with math but I don't think that makes them 200 yrs old ? I don't understand the marketing. at the time I bought theas guns they said they saved the name by creating a new and better company. Now they are the same OLD company but better because they are OLD ? Do they think I have a bad memory or can't read, or both. could someone explaine this to me ?

+1 for the SA XD, and the 1911 Micro, Champion and MC Operators, and EMP. Best customer service in the business.

i love my xd, and everyone that i have ever used. I have over 12,000rds through mine and i couldn't be happier. reliable, accurate and fun to shoot. i also own a sa 1911, great shooter as well.
