The SR40 finally reached the top of my "must buy" list. It'll replace my 9E as a nightstand gun and the 9 will become my new "truck" gun.

My SR 9 has been in my safe for 10 years now. How time flies. Seems like just yesterday.

Still a great gun, I updated the sights to night sights but other than that, it is stock. I recently acquired a Sig 320 and while it has slightly higher capacity, it isn't fundamentally better than the SR9 in any way.

Glad to see Ruger is selling them again.

No affiliation with Tin Star Shooting range but I got a SR9 last week for 268.99 and free shipping, this forum caused me to buy one. Yeah it's your fault guys, great gun thanks!

Did you actually go into their store(local) or did you order online and have it shipped? Reason I ask is the last gun I bought online I almost ordered from Tin-Star until I read their reviews. Sounded too "fly by night" to ever want to give them my business.

I bought an SR9 a couple of weeks ago; the price plus tax at my LGS was less than ordering online and paying a transfer fee.

I have no doubt the SR pistols will be gone when Sports South sells out, just as the LC9S models from Talo are dwindling.

I ordered online and hand the gun in hand in 5 days.

I just traded in my sr9c towards p365 xl. I found I shot my cz p10c better than the sr9c, so it went away. It was a very reliable gun. Since it was discontinued, I sure didn't get much from the gun store for it.

Visit the gun store next week and be prepared to see how much they are asking for your “discontinued” gun.

My daughter has one that I enjoy shooting. She wants a S&W M&P 9mm which I just happened to have a extra one so a swap may be in the future.
