In my 270 Winchester I am experimenting with 6.5 StaBall. Wondering if any of you have as well. Or would like to share other loading experiences for 270 Winchester. I am seating a SIE 130 gr. PH flat base 20/1000 away from the lands in a Tikka T3X, stainless barrel. Load is right at Hodgdon max. Primers are WLR non magnum, and brass is fl sized PPU. I do not chrono my stuff as of yet. I am getting flat primers and sticky bolt lift. Sub MOA accuracy too.
SO, I think I may back off some 1.5 gr. and load some more. It is a pretty potent powder seems to me. These loads have some juice.
Any other experiences with it?
I am getting ready a new batch of 50 and have not really decided on powder but cases are FC, primers will be CCI 200. Going to stick with 20 thou seating arrangement.

Accuracy wise Ruger M77 did not like 55gr. StaBall 6.5 and Sie 130 gr. 0020" off the lands. And the primers were a little flat. So it would need to back off by another grain at least.

I had a stuck bolt bolt on starting book loads with my kid's .22-250 backed it off 1 gr and was happy right there.

So increasing the seating depth and backing off on the charges got the primers and extraction better. Accuracy is OK. Good hunting rpund. No misses on 6" steel at 225 yds.

cfe223 and staball 6.5 ,haven't got a rifle that can use close to hodgen max load. Thought it was just me

I'm playing with 6.5 StaBALL in 7mm-08 and from what I've been able to gather, it gets "iffy" really quick at the top end loads. Definitely NOT recommended to exceed maximums.
