We recently had an AD at a gunshow here. Got lots of air time; made us look bad. Serious wound, but the guy should survive. There were possibly three times the attendance at that show, with an hour to 1 1/2 hour wait to get in. The shooting didn't slow them down much the next day. I also had a frustrated neighbor contact me about needing some 9mm ammo, and unable to get any. I sold him a box of Federal 124gr Hydra-shok, as he was looking for defensive ammo rather than range stuff. On another note, primers for reloading are coming in, but the dealer is limiting customers to one case (5000) small pistol, WW. This dealer primarily supplies the shotgun shooting bunch, but has healthy sales of primers and powders. Federal lg pistol primers were available, as were large and small rifle primers from Federal. Not sure what is going on elsewhere, but ammo on shelves is real thin, but there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel for reloaders, except for factory bullets at any decent price. One obscure gun dealer, located at a building materials supply place, advertised he still had hundreds of guns in stock (I guess he got overlooked, and is now doing a bang up followup business the to earlier rush).:) At the outdoor range, some guy left me 120 pieces of once fired .223. Not everyone reloads, but brass is in high demand for .223, and I quietly thanked him for paying my way to the range that day. :D
