Just got back from 2 days at a local Gun Show. 3 large rooms, very good turnout. This was the very first time there were NO PRIMERS at all available. At most of the shows here in Fla. you can almost always find primers if you are there 1st thing on the 1st day. I was the the day before as an exhibitor to set up and no one had any. One dealer said he had some coming but they never showed up. There were a few people that had most ammo in small amounts. No .410 and very little .45ACP. Also there were a very limited supply of powders in 1#; no 8# at all . Was also informed all reloaders now needed a "Manufacturers" Permit from the ATF to sell reloaded ammo even if for Antique firearms. Didn't know that; there were usually 5 or 6 people selling reloaded before. The biggest majority were there to buy Ammo and Firearms period. Lots of shoppers but few buyers. My friend I was there with said it was the worst show he's had in years. Will see what happens at the next one.

There was one here, locally, this weekend... I really wanted to go, but work intruded. I'm kind of curious to see what available on the tables, particularly reloading stuffs... but I also wanted to get me mitts on one of the new SA-35's... ;)

I have attended two shows in Indianapolis this year... There was very little in the way of reloading supplies, and what was there was inflated to laughable prices. I don't mind a bit of dickering to get the price down, but I won't waste my breath on people who want to start the conversation with a 100% mark-up. By the time you pay to park, and pay for admittance, it becomes little more than an expensive mall walk with some cool guns to look at.

It has been necessary to have an FFL license 06 and/or 10 (not a permit) to manufacture ammo or sell it for profit since 1968.

Wasn't disputing nor downplaying your comment, just adding to it. I’m guessing that primers are scarcer than FFL permits these days. ;)

It seems to be location by location I found primers at my local CAL Ranch a while ago. Brownells is advertising SRP right now, but PRICEY! It really seems to be hit or miss.
I have had to explain to people for YEARS that I cannot SELL ammo without that FFL, and some just get mad, thinking I am being stingy. Well, I make the stuff for me, so yes, and I don't want the liability BS on top of it.
