In my failed attempts to obtain a Bersa Thunder, I was doing some reading and stumbled upon Steyr articles. One thing I noticed is they say the recoil is really not bad... which thats a good thing for me. I saw some pictures... I think they look cool.
I have to put all the looks aside and focus on, IS THIS THING RELIABLE? I know it's a bit more expensive than the Bersa from the listings I have read... a heck of a lot cheaper than the Glock though. Price is not a BIG issue, but I don't want to overspend and buy more gun that I actually need. I also dont want to be a cheapskate either.
Like I said, I originally was going to get a Bersa Thunder, I was in the shop with my credit card out, and they couldn't come up with one from their distributor... Would the Steyr be a good substitute? or quite possibly a better gun than the Bersa? I have heard the 9mm is a lot better self-defense round than .380, and if the recoil is managable, why not step up to the 9mm?
any thoughts??
edited to add: of course this is all contingent upon a local gunshop actually being able to get one... I did a search on that thing somebody suggested in another thread, and there were no Bersas availible, and it says they had 99+ of these. So I am thinking these might be a bit easier to obtain.
