Has anyone tried one of these? Are they worth the money? I would like to find a laser I can use during the day in the sunlight on steel plates and bowling pins, are they bright enough? I also like the idea of the built in light, and long life batteries.

Any info/advice is appreciated before I drop $250 on a light/laser.

I just picked one up a little while ago. I like it.

You can't see it in sunlight however. I tried mine outside today for the first time. Wasn't even very bright out and I had trouble seeing it past about 5 yards.

One thing I didn't know before I looked at them was how it turned on. It's a pretty good system. If you are right handed, you can use your trigger finger to swipe the lever down and have it stay on. Or, you can use your support hand thumb on the other side for temporary on/off. You can choose between laser, light, or light and laser.

I'm glad I bought mine. I think it's great for a home defense gun.

I have one on my AR, and have zero complaints about the unit. The light is plenty bright, and I've zero'd the unit to 10 yds. It has held that zero very consistently through multiple removal/installation cycles as well as about 150 rounds of XM193 5.56x45 ammo as well as another couple hundred .22LR.

Daytime brightness of the laser is so so, but I can see it easily at 300 yds at night.
