Strongly considering a .223 pistol

I built one up some time ago, but I ended up trading it off because someone offered way more than I had in the weapon. I will eventually build another.

I would suggest a 10.5 " version. That way you can retain a full size handguard and still have enough barrel length for decent velocities.

I would also check with ACE to see if they are still making a foam sleeve for the buffer tube. You can still have a relatively stable shooting platform by placing the side of the buffer tube against your cheek. Forget about shooting the weapon as you would a handgun. A single point sling fully extended also helps to stabilize the weapon.

See Post #2. I have one in the 10.5 inch flavor with the foam
sleeve for the buffer tube. It's one of the most fun guns that
I have ever owned. It could use a 5 moa red dot. I only shoot
it while wearing ear plugs and ear muffs. They are exciting to
fire at night !

Rubbish on all counts, IMO. Gimmick weapon really.

That wasn't my question.

It kind of was your question. You asked thoughts on handling, sighting and overall use. He answered his thoughts...rubbish for handling and sighting, gimmicky for overall use.

Would be a lot better if it was piston driven and did not have that buffer tube. As it is, waste of money, I would not buy that, but get the SIG 556 pistol in stead. SIG pistol is heavy, I would rather have (do have ) a 556 rifle and an AR. Get it if you want it, I would tire of it like I did the GSG-5P, nothing it could do, that another pistol or rifle can do better IMO.

I apologize, I should not have said what I did.

I do not have one because I think that as a platform its a joke, stupid, dumb awkward and useless setup, but that just my opinion. But then I take guns seriously not as fads or toys.

Does any have a .223 pistol such as these from Rock River:

I'm not interested in a Kel-Tec, but rather a modified AR-style.

What are your thoughts on handling, sighting, overall use etc.?

No practical purpose of use.

Kind of like your posting to this thread.

The problem with asking questions is graciously accepting the answers other give you. Even, or especially, when they do not mirror your own.

The problem with answering questions is understanding how to do so in a way that balances honesty and forthright speech with politeness with a sincere desire to not so denigrate the choices of others that you trample the possibility of polite exchange of ideas.

Seems like a failure all the way 'round.
