I just got a 1951 336SC that is giving me the worst headache. I've gotten the whole thing stripped out except the mag tube and mag tube plug. Neither will move. I tried soaking 'em in moosemilk, spraying with WD40, spraying with graphite lube, beating it with a stick (really) and drilling it out (my extractor bit broke in the hole). I already have a replacement tube plug so I'm not worried that I murdered the old one. What can I do?

????? The magazine tube plug is held in the front of the tube by a single cross screw from the bottom. With the screw out it should easily push out the front . Did someone solder or glue this one in ??

Damn 2/3 tube

Turns out the tube plug was being held in place by the magazine tube stud. Thanks for your help, y'all. Now I've gotta find a replacement plug for the one I butchered. The replacement I got was for the full tube mags. At least Brownells is low key about returns.
