So, you blame the barrel for breaking the window?
Sure do, I've done the same pattern of moves in the house with 6 rifles that have no barrels over 26", never a problem. The first time with the 30" barrel and it was just a little to long.

the question is so moronic as to not justify an answer
A 30" barreled shotgun is great for sporting purposes (hunting, clays, etc). I'd dare say, nearly perfect.
Short barreled shotguns are for home defense, and internet commandos.

Guns don't kill people. Guns kill windows.thats like blaming crimes on guns, spoons on making rosie odonnel fat, and that dang pencil on my bad math grade
joed said:Not trolling, honest. The reason I consider the 30" barrel stupid is every time I carry a shotgun with that long of a barrel it catches on something. That's why I asked if a 26" barrel wouldn't do. Would you believe I've broken a window in the house because of the long barrel? Turned to pick something up and that barrel went through a window. At that moment I would have loved to have had the guy that invented the 30" barrel standing next to me.
sure as heck wasn't to take a hacksaw to it and make it an 18" 25-06 varmint rifle!!
It would get higher velocities and hold a tighter pattern for a given range as well as go farther.
What reason does a shotgun need a 30" barrel for? I can't see a reason for it and someone can tell me.
Few years ago I did buy another shotgun, a Mossberg with 18" barrel. Now that's better. I don't even have a problem with a 26" barrel. But to me I'd like to get my hands on the moron that decided 30" barrels were needed on shotguns.
