I've been looking at the Kel-Tec Sub-2000 and the Hi-Point 9mm since I have Glock 9mm's and I think I can get either one in a Glock configuration. I'm just kinda working on a wish list.:D I like the KT since it folds but was looking for opinions. What do you guys think. Usage would be HD/plinking. Don't really think either would be my first choice for hunting-too small for deer, too big for rabbits. Thanks! Steve.

Unless things have changed, the HiPoint takes a proprietary single-stack 10 round magazine.

The KelTec can be had in a configuration that will handle Glock 17 or Glock 19 magazines, I have the Glock 19 version. Either of the 9mm Glock KelTecs will also accept Glock 18 magazines, which are significantly more capacious (30 rounds plus). The KT also has a factory accessory light rail available for it, which will accept any of the rail mounted lights, either LED or incandescent. I have no qualms about using the KelTec for defense, I've found it completely reliable with good ammo and Glock magazines. The foldability can be an advantage for transport.

We went through HiPoints and KelTecs looking for an acceptable alternative for my elderly mom to use for HD, when her 20 ga. double barrel got to be too much to handle. We eventually settled on a Beretta CX4 Storm in 9mm, as she found that design easier to handle.

I had a HiPoint 9 about 3 years ago and was not satisfied with its' performance. Maybe I bought a used lemon. Accuracy was only fair, night fire would ruin your night vision. I upgraded to the SA XD9. This said, I also have the HiPoint carbine which is quality.
