Okay, so after my recent purchase of a Beretta Cheetah, I've got some spending money left over.

I've got around $1,100 to put toward something gun related. I've come up with some ideas, but was wondering what others thought.

I am thinking a Hornady Lock-n-Load Clasic kit which could be had for ~$350 after tax, shipping, etc. I would guess after dies and random accessories I would have around $600-700 left.

I would prbably purchase a firearm to further round out the collection.

Here's what I have so far:

Rossi Single Shot .22/.410
Savage Mkiii .22lr
Ruger 10/22 .22lr
Walther G22 .22lr
Beretta 84fs .380 ACP
Baby Eagle 9x19mm
Remington XR-100 .22-250
Ruger M77 Compact 7mm-08
Mosin Nagant M44 7.62x54R
Marlin 30as .30-30
Remington 870 12 ga

Anything else to help round out the collection?

So far I've been thinking either a Sig Mosquito .22, a new Remington 870 to bird hunt with (the one I've got is the HD version), or some random, cheaper gun.

Thanks,

AU

Auburn;

By the time you buy all the accessories you're going to want/need for the reloading, there's going to be a considerably bigger dent in your leftover money than you anticipate. And that's without getting into shotshell reloading either.

I see that you've got a couple of center fire pistols. Feeding them from a single stage press is going to be a chore if you shoot them much. Several hundred pulls of the handle for a box of 50. You may want to think about just buying ammo for them & limit the reloading to the rifles. Do get a case tumbler though, well worth the money.

Though you didn't state what glass, if any, is on some of the rifles, you may want to think about an upgrade or two there instead of another gun. But if you do go for another gun, it'd seem to me that a larger bore revolver would fill a void in your collection.

Several canidates would fill the bill, but I'd look to either the .44 magnum or a .45 Colt. Or maybe a Smith 629 and a Ruger Blackhawk, then you'd have both a single and double action. So many choices, etc..

If it were me, I'd be thinking about a revolver or two; just to round out the handgun portion of your collection. Maybe a 4" or 6" barrel DA S&W Model 686 .357 and a 2" S&W Model 642 .38 Special (used would be just fine), or else maybe a nice SA, like a Ruger Vaquero or Blackhawk, in .357 or .45 LC. Plus it will give you more calibers to play with your new reloading set-up.

With $1,100 to spend I suggest you get 2 of the three things every serious shooter needs .

Started into reloading , a 1911 and a nice 4 inch barreled 357 revolver .

You can get started with a quality reloading kit from Lee with their Classic turret press from Cabelas http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/t...parentType=index&indexId=cat601233&hasJS=true for less than $170 add Dies a tumbler , Caliper and your components for around $5-600 and have enough left for a RIA Tacticle 1911 or just a tad short for a new S&W 686 357 or perhaps just enough for a new Ruger or Taurus 357 .

Suppress one of your weapons or get a suppressed weapon. That's what I would do, anyway.

You need a modern seni-automatic rifle. I suggest that you get one.

AR/AK for starters, get reloading dies for it too. (if you are allredy planning on reloading a certain cartridge offered in these platforms, get that one) And maybe a suppresor for them. BUt really, you are going to have to put more $$$ towards the reloading stuff to get all the stuff you will need. There is about $200 of required stuff after the hornady kit, depending on where you buy it. (i am doing the same checking, about to buy the kit)
