Dear THR:
For those of us who practice target shooting with suppressor on, how do you compensate for the front sight's view that is taken up by the suppressor's diameter?

Other than H&K mp5 SD and H&K mk23 I find this to be issue with all of my guns with suppressors. For eg, how do we fix this problem on H&K usp tb?

Shoot with both eyes open and focus on the target. Your brain will overlap the images from each eye and your sights will be right on.

I will both eyes open technique today and see if it will work? Meanwhile shall order supp sites

Front sight focus always....focusing on the target will lead to somewhat centered groups that are much larger than they could be

I started practicing focusing on the target to get quicker at USPSA shooting. My group sizes are exactly the same whether I focus on the front sight or the target.

Yup, this is how I do it, and it works fine.

If youve ever shot the predecessor to todays red dots, the old Armson OEG's, its the same principle. As 56hawk stated, you use both eyes, and your brain does the work. Works great on Aimpoints with the front covers closed too.

Thats called the bindon aiming concept...works great with red dots....not so well with irons

Tiny Group sizes in run and gun are not really that critical, but if you look at bullseye shooters, i guarantee they would not tell you to focus on the target
