I just picked up a Browning BDA 380 (In all FN markings) I like everything about it but the hammer. Will the Beretta 84 hammer work in the BDA?

I'll go out on a limb and say no. I don't know why you think it would but I'm sure you have your reasons. Best of luck to ya.

I'm not absolutely sure, but I think they do, for obvious reasons. Beretta Bob, you should know what those reasons are...:D

I'm a Bob too, so I will defer to Beretta Bob.

I thought that since these pistols were from the same manufacturer and do share some parts, I was hoping the hammers might interchange.

Since they are basically the same pistol, I don't know why it wouldn't. It won't just drop in, but the locating pins and geometry should be the same

I'm gonna go with this. Some fitting will be required, as with any replacement hammer, but it should go.

That said, why do you dislike the BDA's spur hammer? It's much more functional than the 84's commander type. The only good reason to get away from a spur hammer is hammer bite, which shouldn't be a problem with the BDA.
