We could replace the police with robots I suppose. But we would still see mistakes, except maybe they would be industrial accidents.

Seriously though the answer I believe is to hold the supervisor responsible. Somebody didn't check the most fundamental piece of information which was the address. Nothing would have happened otherwise. And they need more training on search procedures.

Titan6 you're not contributing anything, you're not answering questions, you obfuscate and name-call. Either act appropriately or leave the thread, trolling is NOT permitted. For Pete's sake you should know better. You are NOT going to bait anyone into calling you names, so GIVE IT UP. You're just making people dislike you.

P.S.

How to add TITAN6 to you ignore list, so you no longer have to be distracted by his rambling:

1)click USER CP on the top left
2)click Buddy / Ignore Lists
3)type Titan6 in the 'ignore list' slot, and click 'save'.
4)watch as blood pressure immediately begins to drop

All I'd like to say is that seeing this stuff, and the botched dog-killing in another post, with things like that, officers simply should not be surprised when members of the public don't trust them.

I'm not sure of the exact details of the case so I'll reserve my opinion of the handling of the actual invasion of this woman's apartment but I will say that to have not immediately taken steps to compensate and rectify their mistake show a horrible lack of leadership and responsibility to the public that they serve.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that self defense against an officer is allowed, given the officer was using excessive force.

That said, I'd have to start shooting if someone burst through my door violently in the middle of the night with such ruckus.

The LEOs made mistakes. I saw little discussion on that. Just a lot of pointless bashing. I suppose if you just want to gripe than this thread is useful.
You saw an eight point plan for fixing the immediate problem.

Not unpredictably, you had no comment...
