Local shop produced a veery nice 686 no dash 4 inch for a fabulous price. A really nice set of factory target grips. Down side is I have to wait almost 40 days to take possession. I got a 98% 586 no dash in 6inch like 6 weeks ago. Good things happen to those that wait...

Wait the 40 days and shoot the 6 inch. By the time you gat the 4 inch, shooting it will seem like a dream.

Have shot the 6 inch and it's sweet, I too prefer the 4 inch. So used to having to pay extreme prices here in Ca. Just shocked to get a couple of quality guns for a discount.
Matter of fact I have already transferred the 6 inch to a friend that was looking for one.

It's probably a pawn or consignment; 30 days to be sure it's not stolen and a 10-day wait. ..or, only one handgun purchase every 30 days per the law. One of the three.

Interestingly it seems they don't check too well on the stolen part , seems to be just another hoop to discourage gun trade . I know of several in several shops where it was on ATF stolen registry and not caught, makes me think they hire non English speakers who aren't interested in Federal govt. nor private property rights

Consignment guns have to wait 30 days before the ten day wait begins. Don't think they are supposed to advertise before the 30 day hold. Sucks but can't complain.

So true, that it is what it is really about. I used to just not participate, now every gun I buy in Komiefornia is a victory.

It really must be a Supreme PITA to purchase a gun in CA and the other authoritarian states. Here in MI I can walk in any LGS and walk out with a handgun in 20 minutes. And I can do it every day twice a day if I want to. And buy all the ammo my Super Duty 4x4 can haul. I pray for you guys often, that some day you too will be free.
