Everybody is praising Swiss Black Powder, how consistent it is, making minimum fouling, easy to clean, uniform and high velocities, etc. Although more expensive than others, but for competition is a top choice.
Having in my area just Czech VEZUVIT and Slovenian KIK (this one just occasionally) and learning from other shooters that they are not great for revolvers, I started looking for Swiss black powder. Unfortunately, no luck. I was thinking about importing it from other EU countries, but was told to forget it, too complicated and too costly for an individual.
Today I found that my local dealer is importing Reload Swiss smokeless powders https://www.reload-swiss.com/en/reload_swiss/index.php . Well, if they could import those, why not Swiss Black Powder. So, I started searching internet to find more about it. Than, lo and behold, I found no less than 3 different brands of "Swiss Black Powder":
- "Swiss black powder" from LHS Germany, https://www.lhs-germany.de/en/powder/black-powder/swiss-back-powder/
- "Swiss Black Powder" from Aubonne Black Powder Company, Switzerland, https://schuetzenpowder.com/swiss-black-powder/
- "Swiss Black Powder" from The Maine Powder House, Lewiston ME, USA, https://mainepowderhouse.com/product-category/black-powder/swiss/
Question: When you are talking about SWISS BLACK POWDER, which of those 3 you are using?
