I'll clarify here what I brought up in the video.
Just about any pen out there is going to be sturdy enough to be used as a stabber.
The S&W Tactical Pen and the Elishewitz Tao Pen are designed to be used in the manner of a kubotan, including grappling which would break bic pens in half, separate Cross pens into two pieces, and even break sharpies.
Is that a big deal? In my opinion... not really. But the difference is there. Already owning the Tao pen, I choose to carry it instead of the more fragile Cross pen.
