Talk me into (or out of) a Kimber

I admit to some bemusement at seeing this thread come back to life, as I have long since decided against a Kimber, and said so. I've bought a few things since, but none is a Kimber, nor even a 1911.
You are the only one you need to please in whatever you buy. The local newspaper constantly runs stories and has contest like vote for the best pizza or hamburger place. The best pizza, hamburger or for that matter hot dog place is the place which has the pizza, burger or hot dog I like best, for me anyway and it matters not if the next person shares my taste. :)

Great choice. Don't expect them be become collectible. Go out and shoot it.

I agree but it has been almost two years.

I've been very happy with my Kimber CDP II Pro though. When I bought it Cabela's had them on sale for well under $700 and I couldn't find anything better for the price.
Thankfully it's functioned flawlessly.

If you want a Kimber and the warranty concerns you, buy it through someone like Gallery of Guns, who include a lifetime warranty with any gun you purchase from them. Bud's does the same, I believe, for an additional fee.

I'm glad some of you were amused that someone would revived a thread that is over two years old...gotta admit I was a bit bemused also.

For those of you who started bashing each other, this is your freebie...that isn't acceptable here and would usually result in a reprimand.

But I'm going to put this thread back to bed as I'm sure the OP has made a decision since the OPD
