Wow, you really brought up one of my favorite subjects. I love the 605. I have owned one now for about 2years. It was the first gun I ever purchased. I have the stainless model, and have shot over 1000 rounds with it.
I exchanged the boot grip for the factory combat grips ($9) and never looked back. Fit and finish is very good. Trigger is nice and gets better with use. It shoots well to point of aim, and is very accurate out to 45ft. It's been very reliable and it's my primary carry piece. I use an Uncle Mikes IWB or a Bianchi black widow, and you can carry it all day with no bother under a large t-shirt, and I live in Florida too so that's important. It's too heavy for pocket carry, so get an airweight if that's what you're after. I load it up with 125gn38spl+p goldots and it shoots like a pussycat.
Ok, so that's all the good stuff. Now the quirks. After about 500rnds, I started getting light primer strikes. My gun smith took out the 9lb hammer spring and put in a smith&wesson 12lb'er for a J-frame. Didn't make much difference in trigger pull, but improved the reliability 100%. Definately do this if you purchase one. It will save a lot of headaches in the future. If you short stroke the trigger, it will lock up. I don't have this problem, but my wife does. It's not that it jams, it just won't advance the cylinder.
Shooting 357's is quite an event. It's like an M80 going off in your hand, so I stick to the 38's. If you have any questions I haven't covered, PM me, and I'll try to answer them.
