Taxing each bullet now?

M2 - with all due respect, if Spiro Agnew is all you have to point to as evidence of MD politicians being criminals, you don't have much. Quite a bit has changed since his day, and we currently have quite a few politicians on board and pressing for more 2A rights in the state.

To be honest, I'm kind of getting sick of all these pot shots at MD. Yes, it has it's rough spots, but on the whole we've been improving our lot in the past half a decade - but somehow, you never hear that side of things.

Yes it's true that I left Baltimore in 1966 and was VERY GLAD to leave.
Before that I had been a Baltimore Policeman, so had some insight into Maryland's politics and how crooked even many/most judges were.

We were actually told in the Police Academy, "If you want to be a "crime fighter" you will find your post is at the city limits keeping the birds off the "Welcome to Baltimore" sign. In other words don't get crosswise with "city hall" or the criminals that are feeding the politicians.

In 1973 I was laid off my helicopter instructing job in Texas. I was offered a good job with IBM but I'd have to live in or near Baltimore. I went back but after a week in Baltimore I said I'd rather starve in Texas than to live like this again. Haven't been back since.

So you are right I don't know anything about Maryland's current politics.

I wish you luck.

Way to be high road, Hammerhead. Sucks, huh? That's...mature.

And for the record, we're far from the bottom. We have the ability to own evil assault rifles without any silly mods, pistols with "high-cap" mags, and are currently in the process of getting our CCW law revamped - which it will be, thanks in no small part to it's ridiculous and overly vague wording.

Oh yeah, we've also fought off a proposed AWB-style bill for the past half-decade plus.

And guess what? It's all been done by grass-roots gun rights organizations, with the exception of the CCW lawsuit. Everything else has been the product of hard work by citizens who care. So how about a little respect, huh? We may be at the "bottom", but we're breaking our backs pulling ourselves up. With or without your help.

I'd guess there are about five stores in Baltimore City that even sell handgun ammo...and maybe one that sells reloading components such as bullets ;)

Thanks

Thanks to the mods for moving my post to the right place, I appreciate it.

I am in the right place if so many people here are looking at this the same way I do. I'm personally at a loss; there are so many politicians biting into my hamburger....there's nothing left for me....

Even if you compensate for language, vocabulary or terminology and make the tax $1.00 for boolit (meaning a case) it is still insane. I didn't see where a particular inner-city group would get free YMCA passes but I'm sure this will happen. I'm not there but this will be like blood in the water and a feeding frenzy will occur.

Another type of "gold" to stock up on before it gets any worse.

Thanks to one and all for your opinion.
