On April 16, 2003 the President signed the Emergency Wartime Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2003 (P.L. 108-11)
The Act provides Israel an exceptional:
$1 billion increase in FMF; and
$9 billion in loan guarantees.

U.S. Assistance to Israel: FY2003.2003 Loan Guarantee Advantages
The Loan Guarantee Agreement allows Israel to issue nine billion dollars in financial instruments covered by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government.
As a result, Israel is able to obtain these instruments at much lower interest rates than would otherwise be possible.
This saves Israel millions of dollars in interest payments and is a concrete expression of U.S. support for the Israeli economy.

What are the opinions why we have not had any attacks since 9-11 if as has been said we are so active in the middle east? Are the radicals more active in GB? Have our intelligence agencies been successful in uncovering the cells? Is actual porous nature of our borders allowing terrorist in and when can we expect an attack.

The bottom line is this; had the "terrorists" the intentions and resources we have been led to believe they have had from the getgo; this country would have been brought to a sort of chaos, then standstill, in the short span of a couple of days by a couple of dozen of them with very low tech off the shelf gear etc. No expensive, risky (in every way), NBC items needed. A long time ago.

So somesones is not telling the whole truth. Not even half.

I want to thank you for being a perfect example of Political Correctness when it comes to the issue of Israel. It's hilarious when opponents of aid to Israel are called conspiracy theorists (at best) and anti-semites (at worst).

It is the same tactic used by the Jesse Jacksons of the world whenever someone criticizes Affirmative Action. Defenders of Israel use antisemitisn the way brother Jackson uses "Racism", as a way to intimidate opponents and shut off debate on a topic that should be debated.

Notice that no one is advocating attacking Israel militarily or even engaging in an economic boycott. The mere advocacy of cutting off aid to a wealthy, nuclear armed Middle Eastern country constitutes a PC crime.

I guess those of us who believe that we should not give a penny of aid to, say, Nigeria or Bulgaria must be horrible anti-Nigerians and Anti-Bulgarians.

It is a fact that many, many prominent jews have been strong critics of Israel and advocated an independent foreign policy in the Middle East. No attacks? There have been several terrorist attacks and stopped attacks. There are a couple in here that are dubious as to whether they are actual terrorist acts as opposed to simply being attacks by derranged or sociopathic individuals of non-USA or non-Christian beliefs.

2001
Anthrax attacks on the offices the United States Congress and New York State Government offices, and on employees of television networks and tabloid.

EDIT: apologize for seeming off topic, it's related sort of. I've been gone a while and simply wanted to share this because ultimately I see conflict ahead.



I've had many friends, of many religions, and non religions. I have enjoyed discussions with all of these and consider myself a reasonable fellow. I had a strange feeling the other day though, when driving through the cornfields of northern Ohio. Off to my left were two HUGE minarets, with large speakers on them, broadcasting something I couldn't understand, both of which surrounded an immense building of persian architecture with a gold dome. Written out front was Islamic Center of Toledo. As a student of history I am at once appreciative of new ideas and respect differences, and yet understand the powerful shaping influence religion has on cultures and people. It was a strange day for me indeed. . . soon I was surrounded by the small town american flags and July 4th parades and little churches that reassured me that everything was the same in America's midwestern towns and farms. Still, thoughts of the future linger in my mind.

See, there is no middle ground in this war of ideology. In the end.
