.223 Case gauge.

A big +2 for Maglula UPLULA (even at a little over $20).

Snuggie for after a long match when I need "me" time.

RCBS inertial bullet puller, under $10 when I bought it in 1981.

Carbide pistol dies (extra $20 over steel dies, and worth it.)

Every pair of Pachmayr gripper grips I've ever bought for K-frame revolvers. These grips are a perfect fit for me.

The best < $20 I ever spent!!

Apparently, none of you all have ever been to Thailand?... [/strike]

I mean, the $20 that paid 2/3'rds of my FFL 03 license. Now THAT was money well spent.

Oh, and there was a two-tone Colt WWI-era magazine I got at a gunshow once for $10 - now that was a good deal!

I recently purchased a box of 100 lead balls (.490) for my new Hawken muzzle loader. Haven't shot it yet, but I'm ready now!

Oro - Thanks for the good belly laugh!!!

Tennis balls for targets ($2-3 for a 3-pack)
Random damaged soup pot ($0 and an afternoon of "ping!"/"ding!" plinking)
VQ parts (varies, but most were <$20 for my mkIII, I have more on the way for a 10/22 and P22)
Sam's bushing for mkIII to delete mag interlock ($10 each)
Ultimate Cliploader (I think it was $21, but I'm including it anyway!)
Otis cleaning cable (Part of a $25 set, but since I didn't need half the brushes, it counts)
Craftsman toolbox for a range kit ($19)
Brass punches (~$2 each)
Brass/plastic hammer ($10-15)

The best < $20 I ever spent, bought ________________.

The Mika pocket holster that I use every day. What else can you think of that is hand-made, well-built, works every time, and you never leave home without it?

How about 2/3 of an UpLula mag loader ? Best $28 I ever spent at a show.

I'm saying a Spee-D-Loader for tube magazine .22s. Brilliant design. However, I can't really argue against the butt pad for the Mosin or the boresnakes.

$5 for an old military helmet liner. A neccesity when stalking coyotes on the prairie in a cold windy Nebraska December.

type 99 arisaka 7.7 jap rifle plus Norma 150grn 10 rounds and 10 brass. 7 bucks and a pack of camels was a while ago [1976] still it was a good buy. is that close enough 7 bucks back then seemed to go further than 20 today

another vote for boresnake.
hogue grip for the AR
I have a LULA for AR-15 mags and it rocks. I've been eyeballing an UPLULA for a while, think I better get one!

Okay then, mine would definitely include BoreSnakes and Pmags, but I bought a cheap little sling from Wal-Mart once that has mesmerized me.

It is so far superior in comfort than any other sling I've ever handled. It is made mostly of foam, and parts of the strap have a large band of elastic substituted. When I hike for miles, into the backcountry to hunt elk, it rides wonderfully well and has lasted for years without the slightest signs of wear. I think it cost me less than $10 and I've swapped it around from one hunting rifle to the next and then to the muzzleloader too because I just don't want to use anything else that won't be as comfortable. I'll either need to buy more of these and dedicate them to each rifle, or find something that costs a bit more, simply to have something equally comfortable that looks better because it certainly looks like a $5 sling.

What CoRoMo said. I think I have the same sling. At Wally-world it was 9.99. First I had it on an old Glenfield 25, then on my brother's Mini-14, now it's on my 10/22. I believe it to made of neoprene or some other closed cell foam. Whatever the case, it keeps my rifle in placed as I'm loping through the desert of the pines and has just enough stretch to work like suspension. Love it.

+1 on the boresnake

Also, I picked up 2 9mm magazines for my Norinco 213 at a gun show.

$20 worth of .22LR ammo is more fun for the money than anything else in shooting in my book.
I would have to agree, I have spent many afternoons burning through a brick of 22lr.

Also, magazine subscriptions; be it Field and Stream, Outdoor Life, Guns and Ammo, whatever.

I bought a Jimenez JA22 (Current incarnation of the Jennings J22) off of a coworker for $20-- he took it apart new and lost the firing pin retainer "cup" thingy-- I called Jimenez and they sent me a free one in the mail...I turned around about 6 months later and sold a new JA22 (paid $100), a J22 (free-- from another coworker), and the $20 JA22 he sold me-- get this--

I put them on a gun trading site (a local one) as "best offer"-- I got an offer of $350 from a local guy-- I didn't misrepresent the guns, and labeled as what they were-- he liked them, and I met him FTF-- got his info and a receipt of sale--

So I felt like I made out ok-- I wouldn't pay any money these days for one of those--
