The Best Handgun Cartridge For You?

I don't think so. I meet arrogance with arrogance. If somebody thinks that he is the ultimate judge and jury on a universally best cartridge or handgun - a task that is impossible because there are too many applications to consider - then I can judge him also ... and you are not on the jury :).
I will say it again! Watch some of his videos.
The only arrogant one is you. If you are so narrow minded that you wouldn't listen to someone else's opinion.
He produces fun videos and compares cartridges and firearms. The title helps him get views.

I started the thread as an opportunity to voice your thoughts on a best cartridge for you. This can differ based on were you live, activities and experiences. As you mentioned!
@CDW4ME lives in Florida close to the beach. 9mm is his go to! If I spent most of my time where he lives I would carry a high capacity 9 also.
@WrongHanded is close to the Rockies and enjoys hiking. He likes a 40sw because he may need something for a four legged threat.
Neither are wrong. They both developed their opinions based on experience.
I like to travel and will stay in 8 different states in the next four months. I enjoy different activities in each of these areas. I switch between two handguns, if I needed to carry only one it would be 357 but 45acp, would fill the role also. Along with many other options.

.357 mag made a lot of sense when I lived nearly rural decades ago. I wish I could say that it still applied to me today.

Being that I'm suburban/urban by reason of ongoing urban sprawl, 9mm makes more sense these days. If I didn't pocket carry, I could conceivably go 9mm from here on out. Besides the pocket carry cartridges I prefer, I'm a rimfire addict as well, so . . . o_O
Sig P365 with the flush mag and you can pocket carry 9 mm!

FOR ME --- It's .45acp. Easy to load with any number of powders and bullets from 165gr up to 255gr. Plus there are guns chambered for .45acp in my two favorite
platforms, the Smith N frames and the 1911.
