The Last Handgun That You Would Sell!

This KGB Customs full build on a stainless Colt 1911A1. I won it in a charity raffle, and it is the nicest thing I own. I wouldn't sell it because while I could probably get a substantial amount of money for it, with Karl's builds being in the $7,000+ range and his books being closed, the used custom market is still a buyer's market, and things don't move without fairly steep discounts. And if I ever sold it, I will probably not for the rest of my life ever be able to afford to replace it with something comparable.

So it's the last handgun I'd sell, in the sense that I know it's the most irreplaceable one I have.

I love the grips :D

We maybe look at what’s in our holster as a trophy more than a tool.

I know I'm guilty of this. I figured out long ago, it wasn't the gun I really enjoyed, it was the HUNT for the gun. Prowling gun shops, and gun shows. Talking to people about guns, researching, first in books, magazines, and finally the internet. I've never bought one off Gunbroker or anything like that. Too sterile, too "easy" maybe? I've got to hold it, turn it over in my hands. Hear the "You should have been here yesterday, we had..." stories. Once I have it, the luster fades somewhat, and eventually it will get sold to help pay for the next thing I can't live without.

Stupid crazy addiction I'm sure.

But on the other hand...I have had a LOT of cool guns. :)

Are you asking about the last one I WOULD sell, or the one I WOULD NOT?

They're the same question for me I suppose. I have no emotional attachment to any gun. They're just things, made to be bought and sold, so even the one I said would be the last one (Taurus G2C) is not safe from being sold if push came to shove. Now if I thought I couldn't replace it for one reason or another, that decision to sell the last one would be harder, but I can imagine circumstances where I would sell "the last one."

Same here! I love that stuff! I still do it some. And if I could find some “grail guns” I wold show them off in a shark skin holster! LOL

I just try to shoot more and buy less items.

Probably my Glock 29. It can do any role from carry, to hunting, to HD.

Its likely my LEAST favorite handgun but from a utility standpoint if I could only have one, would be that one. A master of none though and If allowed even 2....the 29 wouldn't even be a consideration.

As far as sentiment id have to keep my dads old sorry H&R 9 shot DA revolver. Lol. Id love to say one of my Colts but those came later. I grew up shooting the old H&R.
