All pink means ALL PINK.

This post has inspired me to go ahead and Bedazzle my match holster.

Good job OP! :)

I was not aware that pink was hard to find. I've seen just about every make and model of the smaller sizes in pink.

I have to admit that I only read about half the posts here so my apoligies if I'm parroting someone already.

My thoughts are go smaller to medium size and drop the rounds back to .38Spl +P. The recoil from those in a smaller frame than the GP100 should be similar to the full on Magnums in the GP100.

There seems to be a fair number of short barrel police or armoured car S&W 10 and other similar K frame turn ins for sale these days for cheap. If you can score one of those and send it off to a painter that knows firearms to be PINKIFIED then it'll cover up some of the holster wear. And your wife will then have a pink gun with a nice S&W trigger pull. And when it comes to the K frames they simply do not get a lot better.

Grips is another issue. They are so personal that I'd suggest that whichever gun you get you start with readily obtainable grips. When you have some she likes then look at getting them copied in pink dyed laminate so they come out similar to some of the pink laminate rifle stocks that are out there these days. It'll be enough to make YOU gag and retch but if it makes the Mrs smile in glee then you will be a happy camper... :D

Why the big deal. Pink is pretty in many different things which I will not go into here. if she wants pink help her find pink. Did a google search and there are lots of them out there. Maybe if you are not too macho she might just let you shoot it.

Remarkable how many of us aren't willing to get their own wives something they'll like. We're wondering why they won't go shooting with us why?

+1^

My wife used to shoot with me, but lost interest. If she said she wanted a polka-dotted purple and green and brown and pink revolver, I would get her one. She thinks my Glock is ugly, so who am I to refuse her something she wants just because I wouldn't buy it.

As far as a .357, if that's what she wants; again, who cares? The very worst case scenario would be that she doesn't feel comfortable with the recoil and you just download it with .38's.

Who cares if she wants pink. What's wrong with her liking pink? Maybe she doesn't like black or brown or more classic colors.

You're fortunate that your wife even wants a gun. Mine doesn't even want to touch one. There is no way she would shoot one. Just get her what she wants and consider yourself lucky that she wants to share the hobby with you. :)

Is this going to be used only at the range or for SD too?

Now, I could be talking out of my arse never being in SD situation, but I imagine some bad encounters can be prevented just by presenting the firearm to the assailant. A gun in pink might not be taken as seriously.

Some of the pictures & links in this thread were tastefully done. Go for pink grips, or some two-tone combination between stainless/pink or blued/pink.

A lot of help in these post and quite a few made me laugh to. Not sure why?
It is meant to be a range gun but also a nightstand gun. I do feel lucky that she even want's a gun after I took her to the range and let shoot everything we had here at home.

As far as I am concerned, She want's pink? She want's it chambered in .357?
Fine by me. If that is what she wants and will use it, Then I am no one to get in her way. That is the same as me wanting to put some Coco Bolo grips on one of my guns. If that is how I want it, Then I will make it as such.

I mean no offense to anyone by that if it does come of to you in that way :p
Apperantly, I have another option. She is O.K with a 9mm semi auto as long as it is in pink of course and stainless. A tad easier to find. After looking at the GOE site, She seen a blue slide with a pink frame and went crazy for it.

Oh boy :D What a good problem to have.

...how about powder coating a standard factory gun pink in color? ...this can be done commercially for a fee or, at home using your kitchen oven or a toaster oven.

Rajb123,

Do you have a certain supplier in mind to link me to?
Or is this some stuff I can buy at a local hardware store or ChinaMart?

The 442 with the pink grips is my wives - maybe this would be a good compromise for her.

The only thing I can see wrong with powder coating is that it's a very thick finish. So, depending on how much of the revolver you want to finish, it could mess with tolerances.
