Went to my normal places online yesterday to find some CCI #11's and 10 caps..can find the 10's but everyone seems to be out of the #11's. Graf's also seems to be running out of BP in common grades. Wonder how long this is going to last....:fire:

maybe they are confused between black guns, and black powder? seriously, tho', it makes sense ... if you were convinced an intrusive government might soon be after your collection you might choose something that need not be registered, and that would fly ''under the radar''....

I'm switching to shooting mostly bp again simply because i have a feeling that if the hording rush goes on it's going to be tough feeding my other guns. A couple of years ago it was hard enough finding. 45, 9mm, etc. Primers were all gobbled up as well. Holy Black was about all I could find.

Besides, bp is cheaper, more fun, and I get a bit of Zen loading the guns. $20 worth of Pyrodex, $12 worth of caps, and that's about all I'll need for my limited time to shoot this winter.

You guys need to stop ordering all the CCI percussion caps from cabelas so me and my buddies can restock our supply. :neener: Every cap they sell is on backorder, even my local gunshop can't find anyone who is "in stock"

Just had to add, I JUST went to my local shop to check and see if he accidentally had any caps and he is out of stock on #11 everything (he has 2000 CCI #10's but I don't have #10 nipples) no 22LR, shotgun shells are gone, no 44cal round ball, no patches, he says the whole world is on backorder. Blah...humbug...

Don't forget ,late ML season is a big seller in a lot of areas. I know here in ohio it sells a lot of BP supplies.

I see cabelas has Remington #11 in limited supply, I tried the Remington years ago and didn't like them...misfire problems...I'd order them but I'd hate to get stuck with 1000 of something I didn't like the first time I tried em. I've always had easy access to CCI #11 and thats what I've got used to using. Who uses Remington #11's? are they better than they used to be 6 years or so ago?

I see almost all of Cableas bp pistols like the 1858 Remington Army 8", and 5.5" bbls, and the steel frame Colt 1860 Army pistols, and Colt steel frame 1851s are all on back order along with some of the others they sale. I don't remember seeing that many bp pistols being on back orde befour. :banghead: I hope the shop in town has some Pyrodex left. Buy up a few pounds when you see it in the shops. We wized up after the last time people went nuts an you couldn't find ammo anywhere. Just put up a small stock in air tight ammo cans and let the world go nuts. Never hurts to buy up a few hundred boxed 22 LR bullets befour they are all gone like last time. I believe things may get hard to buy now that the nuts have started coming out of the wood work. :fire:

Interesting, who would have thought that this panic would extend to BP components and guns. It is likely the one thing that is not immediately on the antigunner's list to ban at the moment.
