back when i had my 357 mag, i used to load my lead wad cutter BACKWARDS on occasion! if you dont believe in hollow points, shoot a gallon of water with a fmj, and then with a wad cutter in backwards. the result is spectacular! as humans we are something like 80% water. now, i WOULD NOT advise anyone to shoot at humans with backwards facing wadcutters, (bullet fragmentation, poor penetration, poor gas seal resulting in lower velocitiy are just a few reasons) but the term "hydraulic shock" DOES apply to all animals, human or otherwise! and not so much on balistic gel, plywood, wallboard,etc., etc., etc..
