Get his address 240, and send him a case of DIXIE BEER... you'll have a friend for life!

Bro: it's 112 at 1:00 in the afternoon and I'm dying... and don't give me that 'it's dry heat' crap!!

What ever atbis and chriske. You all seem to know it all. I was just trying to help. Forgive me for doing that if you can find it in your heart...chisel some ice off of it and have one for your efforts of taking being so content on being right and cantankerous about what other's have to say. Keep that close mind and don't even try to open yourselves to new ideas or thoughts, even if someone is not "CORRECT" in your eyes! You have WON...good for you. I will not be posting anymore on this subject. Relish you glorious victory! Congrat and hats off to you.

Uhhh

Chill out.

I think Chriske was actually lauding your for your efforts. He didn't mean that you'd be speaking the wrong language, rather that while your attempts might be imperfect they are still noble and appreciated.

The word you were probably looking for is
Tschechien = German for a resident of the Czech Republic
where as
Chechnyan = Language of a country not even in Europe.

That's what I was trying to lead you toward. Initially I figured you were having a brain fart and I was just prodding you a bit towards that realization. Oh well.

I picked this 75B up today - practically mint-condition:

It was $280, so what do you guys think - deal or no deal? ;)

That is an outstanding deal. I paid $425 for a new one within the last year. I thought I found a good deal. Congratulations!

Andy;
picked up one here 2 weeks ago for $295(plus sales tax)also in near mint condition.........already have one but couldn't turn it down as they are about $550 here new. love the way they fit my hand and also the flexability of ways it can be carried safely. enjoy your new CZ.

they had a fullsize 75b, one in black polycoat with a nice trigger and another plain 75b in nickel for 350, and they showed some wear but not bad, and i thought those were good deals. crap, you gotta share where you got that thing, lol!

Momma's too p*ssed at me right now to appreciate that little fact  ;)

I scored this one off another forum - I was second in line and the first guy dropped-out, so.... :D

I finally picked up a CZ-40B to go with my Colt Z40.

The CZ got some range time yesterday and it shot great. I put 100 rounds of FMJ and 50 rounds of XTP hand loads through it with no problems.

The 40B only came with 10 round mags, but the 12 round MecGar mags for the CZ-75 work great. The only difference is the base plate.

Here's the CZ and the Colt...

You probably got one (or at least the mags) which was made during The Ban. According to Mec-Gar's website, they make the mags for CZ.

I bought six Mec-Gar 16 rnd mags for my 75B and they are virtually identical to the two mags which came with it except for one little detail: on the right corner of these mags, right below the feed lip, a bevel has been machined at that spot and this bevel was obviously done after the mags were manufactured & blued.

Well I have been a big CZ fan for over a year now. I own a CZ75 Semi Compact which I love. No other gun fits me so well. Although I like cz's so much I have only owned one. This next week I am buying a 452 lux though. I expect nothing but the best and am sure I won't be let down

I posed basically that question over on the CZForum under the "Ask CZ" subforum. One of the mods said not to hold my breath. I won't go that far, but I will try to remain calm.

I want one, but funds are low now. So I have to wait, or hope to run across a deal I cannot pass up. (meaning worth getting fussed at by the wife)

Anyway, from what I have read, the frames are cast and the slide is forged, is this correct?

It'd take a lot of re-doing, I know. A guy can dream though, right?

As for the 97, I'll be content shooting .45 Super through it.

I'd LOVE a 10mm CZ!!! I've read mixed reviews of the EAA Witness CZ clones, and the only inexpensive 10mm offering is a Glock 20 or 29. The 1911s are nice, but twice as expensive and half the capacity.
