usually the guy making the contrary argument needs to back up his story, not tell everyone else to search for it...

you're entitled to your own opinion but without any proof to back up claims that seem to be contrary to opinions others have it's just words and you've contributed nothing...

Okay...I'm totally confused...

As per the information you've provided.

1. You have a negative opinion of Massad Ayoob.
2. This is based upon a case that is over 20 years old.
3. He testified FOR the defendant.
4. The defendant was acquitted.

From the information you've provided, it looks like he was part of a successful defense team for the person charged in the incident.

Begs the question - WHY do you have a negative opinion - you've never stated your reasons, and the information provided doesn't support your opinion.

Can you explain why this has given you a negative opinion as it is certainly not clear from any of your posts.

Well I don't know why you think I have to produce "documentation" to justify my negative opinion of Mr. Ayoob.

He testified in a murder case in Wichita, Kansas on the behalf of the defendant.

In the case two unarmed teenage youths were attempting to break into the defendant's car that was parked in the front driveway of the defendants home.

The defendant got his handgun and fired two rounds from inside the kitchen of his home through a kitchen window striking and killing one of car thieves.

Part of the defendant's defense was he was not able to see clearly because he wasn't wearing his glasses.

The defendant was found not guilty of murder.

Seems to me the shooter was in the right. In Tenneseee, we have a right to defend ourselves as well as our property, whether or not the person is armed. Now, shooting a fleeing person is a different story.
Hmmm, from what I remember from my carry permit class years ago, here in TN, you shoot a guy from inside your house trying to jack your car in the driveway, you're goin to jail.

How is that you feeling death or grave bodily injury, right here right now, causing you to use deadly force?

Rather than citing what you remember for the sake of argument, why don't you provide a link to, or the exact verbiage of, the applicable Tennessee statutes?

This would be preferred as it provides a basis in fact rather than what could be misinterpretation or simply an opinion.

The law apparently has changed. You have the right to defend home and property. The castle doctrine. Also helps to have a visible no trespassing sign.
