Any interested in a fairly new RCBS bench swager? On second thought...maybe after I do a comparison video in a month or two. ;)

Or how about a non-carbide Redding Grx 40s&w push-through die......

This tool ought to compliment my modded Hornady case feeder just fine.:)

Probably, I won't use the bullet swager.....but who knows, I could get into casting someday.

What's got my wheels turning too, is the possibility of converting that "automation kit" case feeder mechanism to my RCBS Summit press..............hmmmmmm. Oh goody.....another new project to tinker with!

Appears to be a very Nice tool! Pushed back to late January tho....I can wait. My wife's getting me a new recliner for Christmas  I need a new project to keep me out of it.....

Looks interesting. I can wait for the supply to catch up with demand and I'll let all you guys test the press out.:)

but there's no more room on my bench!!
I can see that replacing my Lee Classic Cast on my bench.

I thought the Inline Fabrication case ejection system was cool, but this Lee system really raises the bar...A lot of thought went into this piece of equipment. Who would have thought of a case feeder working with a single stage press

The last time I said that, it was for the RCBS Pro Chucker 7....and the reviews were less than stellar......kept me from buying one a whole year and a half....what did I find out? That others, less able to see past the minor stuff, wasted my time.;)

You and greyling22 just need to think outside the box.....there's always a way to add one more good tool!:)

When I made the video of me using the Redding Grx to "fix" a crapload of .40 S&W range brass....I tried like hell to figure out how to do that......all I needed was someone smarter than me......say like Richard or John Lee....having the resources to make it helps too. ;)

Another Lee innovation:)
As with any new product I am gonna wait for any bug removal:)!

I'd say that John Lee was trained and inspired by a master innovator.....but we all know that. As for waiting....I'm going to get on the early list.....it has everything to do with how much time I have left on this world to play......besides....besides Lee, who can make this tool develop faster.....early adapters. In this case, at this price I can easily afford it without a lot of stress or risk, so why the heck not?

jmorris said it well.......

Even the “deluxe” one is less than a tank of fuel, refreshing.

I'm committed. Pre-ordered the Deluxe and the Swager from Titan (thanks AR-Bossman).....would like to see if it'll work with my Redding Grx.....so no bulge buster quite yet.;) Curious to see what else it can do as good or better than other slower, more expensive tools. As the sage said, "We shall see."

The Swager comes with that same interesting open ended shell holder....that in itself has my curiosity peaked.:)

SwageToolProduct2.jpg

The video of the swager working shows how it works....ahhh, I see, said the blind man. The case feeder adjustment uses the next case to push the swaged one on out.

.

Oh, I won't wait a year to look past the minor glitches on the Lee APP. Of course, it is not the same kind of investment as a Pro Chucker 7.

I'm interested in the bullet sizing first. It could speed up sizing coated bullets

I really like the primer pocket swager on my 1050, and it looks like Lee has a very similar design; should work very well. One thing to keep in mind with this type of solution for crimped primer pockets is that it's easy to over-swage the pocket. This results in loose primers.

I kinda think this, although it's marketed for use in a 1050, might be a very handy little thing to have to adjust the Lee swager. I'd also highly recommend a primer pocket go/no-go gauge to make sure you're not over swaging the pockets.

I'm anxious to get the Lee APP for faster bullet sizing! I'll have a family member stand there and load the bullet tubes while I pull the handle on the APP like the mad man that I am.

Yes the investment size is the biggest difference.....exactly why I didn't wait on this one. I may fail, but I'll have fun trying to make the RCBS Summit feed that way. Too bad RCBS isn't as nimble as Lee. The Summit really is a neat press concept. No lightweight for sure.

As for bullet sizing....never tried lubed or coated bullets....so that's not a reason for me ........ yet. If my declining health reverses and I start shooting more, I may look into that part of the hobby......I'm trying! I even gave up Dr. Pepper.;)

Curse you Great Bald Eagle...I just committed too. :p

Passed on the Swager as I've been very happy with the unit on my Hornady LNL PA...I only swage .223/5,56mm. Figure I'll get a Quick Change Plate from Inline Fabrication so it can share space with the Lee press and bench priming tool

Last thing I need is another press. But, put this one on backorder the day they started taking orders. Don’t know what I’ll do with it but it going to be fun.

LOL! "Great Bald Eagle"........sounds like a great moniker, can I change my name? Just kidding! I am getting bald in a place or two.... GWS are my initials ...... but Starr is just a tribute to my favorite Beatle, Ringo. ;) Yup!, I'm that old.
