The Rundown movie.. has sks's and others

hey gang,
just watched the rundown, it is a hell of a good movie, what got me was the sks was a big part of the guns in this movie, it and alot of shotguns and i saw one dragunov being used on the rooftop, i highly recommend this film, the rock is the next action star, he is good, alot of great fights in this movie also, along with tons of special effects, i just wanted to let everyone know,

Thanks for the info, I'll have to rent that soon. "Walking Tall" looks to be really good as well, my wife even said she wouldn't mind seeing it!

Thanks for the mini-review, just rented it for the weekend. I got "Something's Gotta Give" to watch with the wifemate, "Rundown" fer me. It's going to be rainy and raw this weekend, so if I can avoid 'death by shopping', I ought to be able to fit in a little gratuitous violence between life support activities.

While I like the Rock and enjoyed the movie, it has just about the worst gunhandling I've seen in a longass time. Rock's constant one-handed rifle/shotgun shooting after he gives in and touches evil weapons was just so freakin stupid....

I'm hoping Walking Tall or whatever it's called will be better. And fairly unrelated but Hellboy is out this weekend too I think...

In all of the Rock's movies, it seems like there is an anti-gun message, or that you're not a real man if you use guns.

I didn't see it as an anti-gun statement, just kind of a way to keep the action interesting until the end. It made it interesting having action scenes that didn't have totally unrealistic gun handling until the last action scene. I thought it was a decent movie that fit the bill perfectly for "entertainment"

Thats because he's the "People's Champ" and he enjoys throwing people around. I dont see an antigun message here. He did pick up a couple of shotguns in The Runaway and took the bad guys down.
