Thinking About Moving from CA to Oregon

You might try a week or so in the area and see it's for you. Oregon has a lot going for it if you enjoy the rural lifestyle away from Pland...some very fine beaches imho.
I remember first visiting oregon in the late 70's and was surprised at how many, and I mean a LOT of people were honking at my wife and I with our Kali plates. Seems it was part of a s oregon plan to show kalifornians they were not liked...it got weird after a while and we were in the sticks, never around any large town.

I see I have been excessively subtle regarding your use of crude terminology and generalities.

I see you have me confused with somebody who cares what you think.

Don't come here. It rains all the time, there are no jobs, and all the people are trailer trash. Oh yeah, and when the natives find out where you came from, they'll chase you with pitchforks and torches...I hate it here, and long for CA. The gun laws are terrible. We can carry anywhere we want, except courthouses and jails. And the taxes, simply terrible. I pay half as much for twice the house. The tragedy! And no sales tax, how horrid!:cuss:
No, don't come here, it's awful.:fire:

When I lived in CA, I realized it was terrible, but I got really sick of hearing about it. Now that I live in Oregon, I'm even more sick of people telling me it's as bad or worse than CA. :banghead:Like anywhere, Oregon is what you make of it.
spencerhut, if you want, email me and I'll give you some info on Oregon.

"Kommifornians".

How very High Road.

I lived in California. I saw my second amendment rights eroded by career politicians who were communists in wolves clothes. I moved because I despise socialism and/or communism.

I earned the right to call it whatever I please.

I repeat, you have me confused with somebody who cares what you think.

You've confused public access with public property. THR is a privately owned site. Call The State of California what you wish in your own space, but not here. The owner has established rules, which you seem to be incapable of complying with. Just to be clear on those rules, here they are, red emphasis mine.

FROM: http://www.thehighroad.org/code-of-conduct.html
There are only a few house rules:

1.) All topics and posts must be related to firearms or civil liberties issues.
2.) Multiple user registrations are prohibited.
3.) As a family-friendly board, we ask that you keep your language clean. If you wouldn't say it in front of your dear old Grandma, you probably don't want to say it here.
4.) Spamming, trolling, flaming, and personal attacks are prohibited. You can disagree with other members, even vehemently, but it must be done in a well-mannered form. Attack the argument, not the arguer.
5.) We cannot provide a comprehensive list of "Things Not To Say".Posts that are contrary to the above policies, or to the mission of The High Road, may be edited or deleted at our sole discretion. Membership may be revoked if such a step is deemed necessary by us. We're a private venture enabled by an all-volunteer staff. Please treat this venue as a polite discussion in a friend's home and respect the wishes of the hosts.
Now, are we clear sir?

The Portland area is not too much different. It's Oregon trying to be California. I moved from the Portland area to Helena Montana two years ago, and never looked back. Our state has fewer people than the city of Porland.

If I ever decide to move down to America, Montana will definitely be on the short list.

You may not care what WE think, but you need to care what the rules of this forum are, or else be somewhere other than the forum. Just saying. You don't own the board, you don't run the board, you don't have a right to set aside the rules of the forum.

Lay off the garbage or you will get this thread shut down. Do you at least care about THAT?
