If two guns are a weapons cache, I think some of us are in trouble.

Weapons, ammo, pants seized at Burress' NJ home

A small cache of weapons and ammunition and the pants and sneakers that Plaxico Burress wore when he accidentally shot himself last month have been seized from the home of the New York Giants receiver, police said Wednesday.

A 9-mm handgun, a rifle and ammunition, including a clip for a .45 gun, were taken from Burress' home in Totowa by authorities executing a search warrant Tuesday evening, police said.

Investigators are trying to determine whether the weapons are registered, so it is unclear whether Burress will face additional charges.

Burress was charged with two felony gun-possession charges following the accidental shooting at a Manhattan nightclub last month.

Benjamin Brafman, the receiver's criminal attorney, said Wednesday morning that he believed that only a registered rifle was taken from the home. He did not know whether Burress would face additional charges.

"We have not had a chance to review this new information," Brafman said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday morning. "When we do, we will have additional comment."

Burress was not at home during the search by Totowa police, the NYPD and officials from the Manhattan

Well if TWO guns are a cache, then when the cops look at my "cache" they will pass out in disbelief and I will make my escape! :p

It's not what it is, it's what it looks like.

Just like "Assault Weapon", "Gunshow Loophole", and "Cop Killer Bullets".

And it works for the media to turn the general masses.

That's interesting; I've not seen a .45 that takes clips.

Who knows... maybe Plaxico was a milsurp tinkerer who made several one-off stripper clips for his DeLisle carbine.

I'm all for Paxico getting some sort of punishment or fine for doing something stupid, but a search warrent? That's a bit over the top. Talk about "paranoia". What ever happened to being free in this country.

As mbt2001 said. Only I'll take a couple of my guns with me as they recover from the fainting...

This is a weapons cache?

Yes.

From Merriam Webster: [Definition 2]Cache: something hidden or stored in a cache (where chache means a secure place of storage.[Definition 1b])

If you are a criminal it is a "cache" if you are not a criminal then it is a "Collection". Gun owners will always be seen as criminals by the media, what's new??

I read another artical, equally as useless, but evidently a few other hand guns were also owned.

And this other artical mentioned the ammo as if it was some sort of surprise to have matching ammo for fire arms.

Or do we gunners buy wrong fitting ammo for our guns? LOL

If so, how many of you use 0.600 round ball in your .45's?

Yah when i read that I was like what??cache?? he was dumb enough to do what he did but he was dumber not to get rid of his "Cache" knowing they are out for blood to get him..

Unbelievable, but now I believe it.

I'm glad I don't live in NJ. There are a few other states I'm glad I don't live in for the same reason -- not to mention traffic jams, overpopulation, etc.

I was thinking the same thing. NJ sure is going for all the press they can on this. I assume they are trying to intimidate folks but maybe just trying to be tough on crime ;)

Could they not have run the serials on the firearms right there and either returned them or added charges?

MSM latches onto an event, decides what their best-selling story line will be, then collects soundbites and images to bolster their decision.

On pretty much everything.

If you make an unabashed statement someone will call you a li...Aah, as being wrong 100% of the time...

Never figured a "moon clip" as a clip for a semi-auto .45, but if you insist...
