Jac, suppressed .223 is actually very quiet. Now maybe you guys can see why I get so frustrated when somebody who's never shot a suppressed gun posts that it isn't worth suppressing a rifle because of the "devestating supersonic crack".

Plus as a happy bonus, you get a little bit of a velocity boost. That first gun (mine) has a 10.5" barrel, but I was still hitting an average of 2700 FPS over the chrono with cheap 55 gr. PMC. Boo Yah!

That looked like a whole lotta fun. Way too much.

I recall a "recreational' shoot we had like that in Cuba. The intel office "acquired" had a lot of ComBlock weaponry, and the company office spent funds on ammo. We went out and shot all sorts of Soviet/Chinese rifles, pistols, and machineguns. That stuff was crude, but it worked. We didn't care about burning barrels out, so we really went to town.

I'd had gotten my ass beat, and I've boxed a few ears myself, proving the cyclic rate of fire on a barrel Uncle Sam owned.


Man. . . April, huh? I get really sick flying . . . and I'd have to camp out in the desert, too . . . Hmmmm. . . . I might just have to ask for extra Prednisone and Donnatol, suck it up, and make that trip.

Greetings all. I ressurected this thread for the benefit of all the new members and anyone who missed it the first time. Sure would have loved to have been there. Great soundtrack as well. Private Pyle on the PK is awesome!
