Wes, and thank you for the Tannerite. You made some really good booms. :)

I can just picture you walking into the Farm Supply, obviously not a farmer, and saying, "Hi, I need 100 pounds of Amonium Nitrate."

Which was why I deliberately didn't wear my usual gun-billboard shirts and hats that day... Didn't want to raise any questions.

Yep, there were some decent booms. From inside the clubhouse, it sounded and felt like the end of the freakin' world.

The Thermal Imager was SWEET. Can't wait to see the tannerite explosion on thermal again.

It was a lot of firsts for me: First time shooting full-auto, first time shooting suppressed firearms, first time shooting a Desert Eagle (Ouch, it was .50), and first time shooting a .357 SIG.

It was too much fun!
Wes

P.S. I'm too POOR to want a suppressor this bad!!!

We still need to get the Minion photo with you and PvtPyle grinning at the camera, with "did I do that?" expressions on their faces, while us redshirts are sprawled out on the ground like the expendable extras we are.

Why not? You ever see Kirk shed a tear over his redshirts? What kind of overlords are you guys?

By far, everyone agreed that the most unpleasant gun there was not the S&W 500, nor my .44 Mag, nor the Desert Eagle, nor even the light fifty rifles, but my 642 snubby.

That was, of course, with the Buffalo Bore ammo. Everyone who tried it understands why I don't carry that round anymore. It's just too much for that lightweight little gun!

The bestest part of the shoot was when I tried to show off. While being filmed with my camera, I did a speed-relaod with my FAL, and rapid-fired the second magazine. I was then going to transition to my sidearm, fire all six shots, then pull my snubby, firing five more.

Unfortunately, as I let the FAL fall in its sling and drew the revolver, I managed to get four clicks before I realized that I'd forgotten to relaod. D'oh! Hoisted by my own petard, I was. That's what I get for showing off.

But Nightcrawler-

That gave me the best laugh I've had in months!:D It runs right up there with the "I'm the only one professional enough..." incident.

BTW: Why the picture of my tent sitting out there by it's lonesome?

Too bad it was his wife's idea. If Ben had his way he would have slept in the palatial clubhouse on one of the giant leather couches. :)

No sir, I snore too much. Ya'll would've thrown me out.
I was wondering what the heck that sound was, it sounded like a bear or something. Between that and hearing the birds meowing and the coyotes yipping... :D

My wife just heard on the radio that people were bitching because of shooting at 1am at bigshots in grantsville.

Oh it does not. Now, had I fumbled and blown my kneecap off with the .44... :D

I took the picture of your tent because it was in the way of the mountains I was trying to photograph. How rude! :neener:

To be fair, I did in fact buy a tent for this, and was full-well prepared to camp out. However, when we had this big nice clubhouse to sleep in... :D

I find that kind of hard to believe, Big Shot is pretty far away....
Yeah, they said they were camping about 300ft away from us... I call bs, nobody in their right mind would camp out there, and the area was kinda farm land... :scrutiny:

I call BS. On two sides BSR is surrounded by 4600 acres of grazing land, that they also have access to for training. On the west side is a junk yard and the north is a farm, but that is across the street.

If they think it is bad then, just wait a few weeks.

ilcylic, hey, welcome back man. I hope you had a good trip.

And by the way, that was damn fine Buffalo. :)
